1991 Boris Vallejo Autographed Card Title: Diving by Comic Images


Boris Vallejo started painting at the age of 13 and by the age of 16 he started to get paid for it. After the Peruvian born painter immigrated to the United States in 1964 he began an extraordinary career of producing high quality artwork for just about every major sci-fi and fantasy genre publishing company out there. Considered one of the best fantasy painters of our time his artwork can be found gracing the covers of popular paperback novel series such as Battletech, Conan, Doc Savage, Flash Gordon, Red Sonja, Star Trek and Tarzan; on magazines for Heavy Metal, National Lampoon, Psycho, Realms of Fantasy, and Vampirella; on comic books for Conan Saga, Prime, Savage Tales, Skaar Son of Hulk, Vampire Tales, and Wolverine; on movie posters for Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, Barbarella, Deathstalker, The Empire Strikes Back, Knightriders, National Lampoon’s Vacation, Q and The White Buffalo; and on trading cards of DC Master Series, Marvel Masterpieces, Spike: The Complete Story, Star Wars Galaxy and several other fantasy series under his own name.

In 1991 Comic Images published a series of trading cards titled Boris featuring the painters astonishing artwork. During the second run in the production of the trading card series they produced an extremely rare chase card featuring the piece titled Diving which was autographed by Boris Vallejo himself.



Parts of the edges have started to flake and I am unsure why, however, I have noticed this as a trend among certain cards that I have produced by Comic Images.

1994 Sealed Box of Keith Parkinson Fantasy Art Trading Cards

Keith Parkinson is an amazing fantasy artist. He has done artwork for TSR’s Dungeons & Dragons, book covers for Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms and Gamma World, as well as promotional artwork for the highly popular MMO Everquest. Even if you don’t know his name but you are a fan of the fantasy genre you still might know his work.

Unfortunately, Keith Parkinson passed away in 2005 due to Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.

However, what I have here is some of his artwork for sell in an unopened box of 1994 Keith Parkinson Fantasy Art Trading Cards.



The box contains 36 individual packs and each pack contains 10 trading cards with a chance of containing a special “Metallic Storm” chase card or a limited inserted autographed card. There is also a very rare chance to win an “instant-win” card for an original Keith Parkinson drawing. However, I am not sure if the instant-win card would still be redeemable at this time.

He gave me his small collection of comics at the time and ever since then I’ve continued to add to it. Over the years I have collected hundreds of comics, toy figures, and other memorabilia.
